Set up Ghost Studio
- Sign in on your Mac's account page and wait for Subscription active.
- Make sure one coding agent is installed and signed in on that Mac — Windsurf (Devin Local), Claude Code, or Cursor CLI. Ghost Studio sends your spoken tasks to it. Sign in with your own account — every person uses their own Devin, Claude, or Cursor login on their own Mac; Ghost Studio never shares or supplies one.
- Click Download Ghost Studio for Mac, unzip it, move Ghost Studio to Applications, and open it. That is the only Ghost Studio download — no other companion app.
- Your browser opens — click Link this Mac. The Mac app shows Linked to your Ghost Studio account.
- On the account page, tap Show QR code and scan it with your iPhone Camera. Tap Allow to download the Ghost Studio profile.
- Open Settings → Profile Downloaded → Install (or Settings → General → VPN & Device Management). Ghost Studio appears on your Home Screen.
- Open Ghost Studio from your Home Screen, allow the microphone, and speak a task.
No license key and no App Store download needed. Your phone and Mac connect through your account, so they don't have to be on the same Wi-Fi.
Common problems
- Mac says “Click Link this Mac”: sign in to the same account in the browser window it opened, or use Open the link page again in the Mac app.
- Profile disappeared from Settings: iOS deletes a downloaded profile after about 8 minutes — tap Show QR code again and scan the new code.
- QR expired: codes are single-use and expire after 10 minutes — tap Show QR code for a fresh one.
- Phone says your Mac is offline: open the Ghost Studio Mac app; your Mac must be on, awake, and online (a closed lid can still sleep it).
- No speech: type the task instead, or allow microphone access for Ghost Studio.
- Agent or quota errors: sign in to your coding agent (Devin, Claude Code, or Cursor) on the Mac with your own account — Ghost Studio doesn't add third-party quota.
- Disconnect devices: use Disconnect all on your account page; remove the Home Screen app in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management.
